You can make a "cheese press" with a coffee can (ends cut out), a pan beneath to catch whey, one of these wood followers atop the cheese, and a weight on the follower (a brick, jar of water, etc.). Large follower, 5-7/8" diameter, fits 3 lb. coffee can; small follower, 3-3/4" diameter, fits 1 lb. can. Be sure to choose either the small or large follower. the large follower is $1.40 more expensive.
